Churches and Villages of Exmoor

Discover some of the most beautiful villages, churches and historic places in the region on this four-night guided break based at Yarn Market Hotel in Dunster. The Exmoor Villages and Churches Break has been designed for guests who enjoy heritage, history and peaceful exploration, with transport and guiding included throughout.

This special break includes 4 nights dinner, bed and breakfast, Friday lunch, transport to and from the churches, admission to Wells Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace, and the services of a guide. Places are limited, so early booking is advised. 

​

The provisional itinerary begins on Monday with arrival at the hotel and time to explore Dunster’s local shops before dinner. On Tuesday, guests will visit Stoke Pero, Exford, Simonsbath and Brendon, with a stop at a local pub en route. Wednesday’s excursion takes in Washford, Williton, Watchet, West Quantoxhead, East Quantoxhead and Kilve, again with a stop for lunch along the way. On Thursday, the group will visit Wells Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace, with an opportunity to learn more about the history of this ancient city.

 

On Friday, the break concludes with visits to Selworthy, Lynch, Tivington and Wootton Courtenay, followed by a farewell lunch back at the hotel in Dunster.

The inclusive price is £650 per person, with no single supplement, making this an especially attractive option for solo travellers as well as couples and friends sharing. Guests aged 20 or under may stay at a 50% discounted rate. Extra nights are also available at a reduced rate of £100 per person dinner, bed and breakfast.
