The renowned caller Diane Silver, together with the Band Appalachian Storm will be coming to Dunster offering a chance to take part in the best American Contra Dancing.
They will be bringing some of their following of experienced dancers, so anyone joining in will have a unique opportunity to experience the 'real thing'!
Stay at the picturesque Yarn Market Hotel and enjoy three course dinners. Dance in the 16th century Tithe Barn and at the beautiful Lynton Town Hall. Explore the seaside resort of Lynmouth and see where the moors meet the sea.
There will be a Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening Dance in the beautifully restored Tithe Barn, the original barn of the 16th century Benedictine Monastery in Dunster.
Then on Wednesday there will be a morning dance in the Tithe Barn and then either hike across the moors to Lynton/Lynmouth or avail yourself of the free transport provided by the Yarn Market Hotel.
Explore the sea front and harbour, marvel at the dramatic cliff scenery and visit the Lynton-Lynmouth Cliff Railway which runs solely on water power. Then gather at the magnificent Town Hall for a buffet dinner and evening dance. After the dance, board the complimentary buses for the beautiful trip back to the Yarn Market.
Thursday we'll be back at the Tithe Barn for a full day of dancing - morning, afternoon, and evening.
The proprietor of Yarn Market Hotel, Antony Brunt, is a dancer himself and is offering a great package deal for those who sign up by May 1st. Three nights double or twin occupancy, full English Breakfast, three course dinner, and transport to the Wednesday night Lynton Dance for £160 each ( roughly $240 at current exchange rates).
The cost for the dancing is a mere £50 ($75), (£60 or $90 after May 31).
